张引教授致力推动跨领域的人文、社会科学及计算机科学研究,并积极参与国际及本地的跨界别合作。其研究领域包括电脑媒介传播、计算社会科学、数字文化参与以及社会指标研究。他的研究成果发表在国际学术期刊及书籍,并曾在国际学术会议上获得奖项。

张教授是香港特区大学教育资助委员会(教资会)杰出教学奖得奖者。目前为大学全新跨学科课程(文理及科技学士 -自订主修)担任课程主任。在2019至2022年期间,他曾担任新闻系数据与媒体传播专修课程主任。

张教授在香港中文大学取得传播学博士学位。他是中大香港亚太研究所荣誉研究员,也曾是荷兰阿姆斯特丹大学媒介研究系访问学人。
