张引博士致力推动跨领域的人文、社会科学及计算机科学研究,并积极参与国际及本地的跨界别合作。其研究领域包括电脑媒介传播、计算社会科学(大数据分析)以及生活质素和社会指标研究。他的研究成果发表在国际学术期刊及书籍,并曾在国际学术会议上获得奖项。张博士目前为大学全新跨学科课程的课程主任,并为Media Asia学刊担任副主编。在2019至2022年,他曾担任新闻系数据与媒体传播专修课程主任。
张博士在香港中文大学取得博士学位;加入浸会大学之前,他在中文大学香港亚太研究所从事跨学科研究工作,并在新闻与传播学院执教本科及硕士课程。
