Ms Lam has been a journalist for 20 years. She was the Executive News Editor for i-Cable News. She also worked as a reporter for Oriental Daily Newspaper and ATV.

Ms Lam was born and grew up in Hong Kong. She got her Master of Arts degree in Government & Public Administration in Chinese Politics and Bachelor of Social Sciences(HONS) in Communication in Journalism.
