Dr. Leung has taught journalism at universities in Hong Kong. Before that she was a Senior Correspondent and Deputy Chief of Thomson Reuters’ Hong Kong Bureau. During her near 20-plus years at Reuters, she gained a diversified working profile of economic news sub-editor, assignment editor and head of Reuters’ Chinese language reporting team in Hong Kong. She was also a trainer of Thomson Reuters Foundation’s programs for working journalists.

Dr. Leung obtained a PhD at Hong Kong Baptist University and received her Master of Arts degree from HKBU. She also got a Master of Accountancy degree from Charles Sturt University, a B.Sc. of Economics from the University of London and a diploma of Journalism from Hong Kong Shue Yan College.
